Licenciatura (5-year degree) in Mathematics (2002) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Technical Engineering (3-year degree) in Computer Systems (2004) from Spain's National Distance Education University (UNED). PhD in Mathematics with extraordinary award (2007) from UPV/EHU. Certificate-Diploma of Advanced Studies in Mathematical Analysis from UPV/EHU. 4-year degree in Computer Engineering (2016) from UNED.
From June 1st on, associate professor in UPV/EHU, he is adscribed nowadays to the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science and Technology in Leioa. He has been visiting professor (2010) at the Department of Mathematics of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). He has authored 26 articles in journals indexed in JCR. He has been awarded three research sexenials by CNEAI, and three teaching quinquennials. He has received the full professor accreditation from UNIBASQ.
His research line is centered on the numerical analysis of partial differential equations.
