Dr. Elixabet López has a degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a PhD from the UPV/EHU, where she carries out her research work in the Group Genetics and Epigenetics of complex diseases.
Her main line of research is the search od pharmacogenomic biomarkers to improve treatment response in pediatric cancers. As a result of this work, she has published a total of 44 research articles, presented more than 100 communications to national and international congresses, and participated in 20 funded research projects, being the PI of 2 of them.
Regarding her teaching work, she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the UPV/EHU from 2021, and she has been Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rhodes College (Memphis, TN, USA). She has metored 9 end of degree projects, 3 end of master projects and one doctoral thesis, and she participates in the teaching of 3 Degrees and 2 oficial Masters at the UPV/EHU.
