Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1981 from the University of the Basque Country. Validation of the previous degree in Germany in 1987. Degree in Sports Medicine in 1988 - Medical College of Baden Württemberg (R.F.A.). Authorized for the functions of General Medicine doctor in May 1995. Completion of the process of validation of the German title, by that of Specialist in Medicine of Physical Activity and Sport in 2002. Doctoral thesis in the department of Physical Education and Sports EHU / UPV, 2014. Head of the "Tolosa Kirol Medikuntza" center (1989-2014). Professor at the Basque Institute of Physical Education (IVEF), currently the Faculty of Education and Sports, section: Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of EHU-UPV (1989- current). Vice Dean for academic extension and responsible for the Erasmus program at IVEF, between 1999-2003. Director of the course "Physical Activity for Health" in the XX Summer Courses (year 2001) - EHU-UPV. Responsible doctor of long-racing and cross of the RFEA (1990-1995), of the 1st division Racing Santander football team (1998), of the rowing clubs Getaria (1992-present), Pasai Donibane Koxtape (1999 -2013), Zarautz (2005-2013), Deustu a.e. (2014-2016), TAK (2015-present), Donostiarra-Kaiarriba (2018-present), professional cycling (Banesto 1996 and Phonak 2003-2004), handball C.D. Bidasoa (2000-2003) and Arrate (2010-2011)
