Professor of Musical Pedagogy and Doctor in Philosophy and Educational Sciences. She is currently a University Professor in the Department of Didactics of Musical, Visual Arts and Physical Education in the Faculty of Education of Bilbao (University of the Basque Country).
Her research activity has focused, on the one hand, on the motivation for learning music in primary school, mainly in relation to the forms of action of the teachers and the interactions that occur during the musical educational practice. On the other hand, she has researched the didactics of music at different educational levels and in teacher training, from a reflective, interdisciplinary and creative approach.
Since 2013 it has been collaborating with the Jaume I University of Castellón in experiences committed to social transformation and community action through music. Along these lines, it is participating in an R+D+i 2018-2021 entitled Multidimensional analysis of the socio-educational impact of community musical initiatives and service-learning through school: The MUSIQUEM Programme, which has as one of its objectives the promotion of community participation through Service Learning, favouring the connection between formal educational spaces and the social transformation of the community.
