Degree in Biology (2008), Master (2009) and Doctorate (2013) in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology. The objective of the thesis was to develop biomarkers of metal exposure in earthworms. After completing my PhD, I worked as a researcher at Aarhus Universität in Denmark from 2014 to 2016 studying the impact of nanoparticle exposure on the terrestrial ecosystem. In 2016 I started working at the Biodonostia Health Research Center, in the area of Epidemiology and Public Health, studying the impact of environmental pollution on the population. I have participated in epidemiological cohort research, in the INMA project, the EPIC project and the study on the waste-to-energy plant of Gipuzkoa. Since November 2021 I have been an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the UPV/EHU. I have 3 projects as principal investigator and have been involved in another 8 projects as a collaborating researcher. I have participated in 30 scientific articles, 9 of them as first author.
