PhD in Pharmacy from the UPV / EHU with training in epidemiology, statistics and research methodology (Master in Methodology of Research in Health Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona).
My professional experience has been developed mainly in the field of epidemiology, statistics and public health. I worked as a researcher in the Neonatal Epidemiology Unit (2007-2009), in the project European information system to monitor short and long-term morbidity to improve quality of care and patient-safety for very-low-birth-weight infants (EuroNeoStat) financed by the European community within the Public Health Scholarship 2005 of the VI European Framework Program (2005 -2008). Subsequently, between 2009-2010 I worked in the Primary Care Research Unit of Bizkaia. In these units I participated in epidemiological research, statistical support, requests for funding and everything related to project management.
I have made several research stays in foreign centers, highlighting the one carried out in the Nutritional Epidemiology Group of the Universities of Leeds (UK) in 2017 in which I received specialized training in Nutritional Epidemiology.
I have also made teaching and research stays at the University of Georgia (Tbilisi) in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and the iCARE center of the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2008, from where the Canadian Neonatal network was coordinated
Between 2011 and 2016 I have been an assistant professor of the Department of Preventive Medicine
