Presentación de GISEL

The Electric Power Systems Research Group (GISEL) has been working for over a decade on the development of technologies aimed at making the electrical grid more efficient, cleaner, and smarter. Its research focuses on three key areas: integration of renewable energy sources, microgrids, and power system protection. GISEL maintains close collaboration with the local energy industry, participates in research projects at the regional, national, and European levels, and actively contributes to the training of new generations of researchers. We invite you to explore the different sections of our website to learn more about who we are, our research activities, and the projects we are working on.

GISEL takes part in the 2025 European Researchers' Night

First publication date: 06/10/2025

On September 26, GISEL actively participated once again in the European Researchers' Night, with a strong presence of researchers and volunteers from the group.

The 2025 edition of the European Researchers' Night exceeded all expectations in terms of attendance and organization. The event was held in a spacious, open, and accessible venue that welcomed more than three thousands of science and technology enthusiasts.

The GISEL research group contributed with 7 researchers and an outstanding team of volunteers, including first-year students from several degrees, as well as students in their 3rd and 4th years of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Engineering in Industrial Technology.

GISEL participated in several hands-on science corners. All activities ran smoothly and received a warm response from attendees. It was an excellent opportunity to bring electrical systems research closer to society.
