Biography

Badreddine Marjal graduated in Chemistry (specialty; natural and synthetic organic compounds) from Hassan II University of Casablanca (Morocco) in 2017. Once he finished his bachelor's degree, he continued his studies at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) (2018-2019). After that, he completed the Master in Chemical Engineering at the School of Engineering of the University of Huelva and International University of Andalusia, during the academic years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 respectively. Graduating with a research, for the Master’s Degree Final Project; on Modification of carbonate structures, carbon nanotubes (CNT) for implementation in phase change emulsions, at the Research Center for Technologies, Chemical Products and Processes of the School of Engineering (PRO2TECS). In November 2022 he obtained a pre-doctoral fellowship funded by the University of the Basque Country and he is currently doing his PhD, under supervision of Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Ainara Saralegi.

Research

He is currently doing his PhD, under supervision of Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Ainara Saralegi, which focuses on the synthesis of multifunctional aqueous polyurethane dispersions with high content of renewable carbon and/or recycled material, as bio-based coatings.
