Biography

Maialen Guerra Mantzizidor completed her Chemistry Degree at the Faculty of Chemistry of Donostia-San Sebastián (UPV/EHU) in 2023. Subsequently, she obtained the Master's degree in Molecular Chemistry and Homogeneous Catalysis at the University of Zaragoza (2024).

In October 2024, she joined the "Materials + Technologies" Group (GMT), of the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Shcool of Engineering in Gipuzkoa (UPV/EHU) as a Contracted Research Staff in the frame of project with financial support of Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. Since September 2025, she has been working on her doctoral thesis in collaboration with the Department of Applied Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry of Donostia/San Sebastián (UPV/EHU), as part of the project entitled “Development of composites based on chiral inorganic materials with conductive and spin-filtering properties and water-stable transparent photoconductive polymers. Application as sensors and/or catalysts in (photo)electrochemical processes’.

Research

She is currently working on the design, synthesis and characterisation of (photo)conductive materials for use as electrodes.
