She also completed the Master’s Degree in Research in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Industry, Transport, Building and Urban Planning, specializing in Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Urban Planning, at the University of the Basque Country.
She obtained her PhD with the Thesis entitled: “Design and processing of biocomposites based on PHBV and sustainable graphene for 3D printing technologies”, supervised by Dr. Maider Iturrondobeitia and Dr. Lorena Ugarte.
She joined the GMT research group “Materials + Technologies” in 2025, a group recognized as a Consolidated Research Group (IT1690-22) within the Basque University System.
Nowadays, she combines her research activity with teaching in the Department of Graphic Design and Engineering Projects.
Research
Her research activity focuses on the development of sustainable biocomposites processable through advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing. In particular, her most recent work is focused on the development of PHBV-based biocomposite filaments nanoreinforced with sustainably obtained graphene, intended for 3D printing applications.
