NOTE.- IBILI-EHU is a travel assistance insurance policy, not a health insurance policy, and as such does not cover pre-existing conditions, except in cases of life-threatening emergencies.

4. TRAVEL TO HIGH RISK OR WAR ZONES / RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

This policy does not cover travel to countries or territories in a state of war. If the insured person is already at their destination when such a situation arises, insurance coverage will remain in effect for 14 days from the start of the armed conflict. During this period, the insured person must contact the Insurer to inform them of their situation and assess the possibility of issuing a policy supplement that establishes new, special coverage conditions. If it is not possible to issue a policy supplement that provides coverage for the new situation, the insured person must decide whether to leave the area or continue with their trip without coverage and at their own risk.

War is understood to mean:

WAR: For the purpose of insurance coverage, a state of war (declared or undeclared) shall be understood to mean the existence of armed conflicts of any nature and scope: military or civil, national, international, or any armed conflict of similar characteristics, taking place in a country, territory or any area thereof. To determine the possible existence of an armed conflict and when it began, the Travel Recommendations issued by the Citizens’ Information Service, prepared and published by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shall be taken into account, among other circumstances, along with the date on which the Government of Spain recommends to its citizens that they refrain from travelling to or from the country or area in question.
