The Telekas group at the Bilbao School of Engineering, of which Amaia Arrinda is a member, organised an event to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February 2025.

The aim of the activity was to raise awareness among the school's students of the work of women in engineering and to highlight the imbalance between men and women in technology and science.

They created a survey to ask students about their perceptions of women's representation in various fields, including the percentage of female engineering students, female teachers, and female school directors.
Explanatory posters were displayed and those who responded to the survey received a chocolate drink at the cafe of the School.

To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February 2026, the Bilbao School of Engineering launched an initiative through its Equality Committee. 
To raise the profile of female researchers at the School, a flyer was produced for each of them and published on information screens, the School's website, and its Instagram account.
Several researchers from the TSR group took part in the initiative.
