Description

Our research group is composed by several faculty members, postdoctoral researchers and students working on a wide set of subjects in Theoretical Physics, from High Energy Physics and its applications to Cosmology to Condensed Matter Theory.

We are currently funded by the Spanish Government through the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion y Universidades, the Basque Government as well as the Basque Foundation for Science (IKERBASQUE).

We are part of several large international collaborations that aim to study more observational aspects of cosmology (Euclid, JPAS) as well as the detection of gravitational waves (LISA).

We regularly supervise final year undergraduate projects (TFG) as well as final year masters proyects (TFM) in the Master in Quantum Science and Technology at the UPV/EHU

Research lines

  1. We are currently investigating several aspects of some of the most interesting topics in Theoretical Cosmology. Here is just a short list of some of these topics.
  2. Cosmic Strings; Cosmological Inflation; Gravitational Waves in Cosmology; String Theory Cosmology; The Landscape of String Theory.
  3. Furthermore we also investigate these other lines of research :
  4. Different aspects of AdS/CFT
  5. QFT anomalies in hydrodynamics
  6. Topology in condensed matter systems.
