Elle a obtenu sa Licence en Philologie Basque en 2006 et son doctorat en linguistique en 2015 à l'Université du Pays Basque (UPV/EHU). Elle s'est rapprochée à l'étude de l'aphasie de locuteurs de basque à travers une subvention de collaboration (MEC), puis elle a poursuivi le projet de recherche grâce à la subvention pré-doctorale du Gouvernement Basque. En 2015, elle a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat internationale Hizkuntzen antolaketa burmuin elebidunean: gaztelania-euskara elebidun afasiko baten kasu-azterketa [L'organisation des langues dans le cerveau bilingue: étude de cas d'un bilingue aphasique castillan-basque] dirigée par la Professeure Maria José Ezeizabarrena. Au cours des dernières années, elle a participé à plusieurs projets de recherche et a présenté son travail à de nombreuses conférences sur la neurolinguistique et le bilinguisme. En 2010, elle a effectué un séjour de recherche au ESRC «Centre for Research on Bilingualism in Theory and Practice» (Bangor, Royaume-Uni).

Depuis 2009, elle est professeure adjoint au Département de Linguistique et Etudes Basques à l'UPV / EHU.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Language disorders (aphasia), bilingualism, language contact (code-switching), psycholinguistics.
