Licensed in Chemistry chemistry (2007) and doctor (2011), by the UPV / EHU. She is currently working as assistant professor at the UPV / EHU.

Her research activity is focused on the monitoring, characterization and environmental impact assessment of natural environments.

Her work is centered mainly on aquatic areas, which include rivers, lakes, estuaries and coastal areas.

For the analysis of the samples, she has used traditional analysis techniques (such as extraction and separation and quantification techniques), spectroscopic information (vibrational and elementary) and chemometric modeling.

She has made two stays. The first was at the University of Valencia (2008) working on the optimization of analytical methods based on the use of chemometric techniques combined with vibrational spectroscopy, in the solonquina research group.

The second stay was (in 2009) in the Department of Quality, Technology and Food Chemistry of the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). During the stay, she studied the application of bi-dimensional and three-dimensional multivariate methods in the environmental field.

Since she started working as a researcher, she has published 24 articles in journals with a high impact index and 4 book chapters. He has also sent 30 communications to congresses, and has participated in 11 research projects.
