Graduate (1996) and PhD. in Information Sciences (2002) from the UPV/EHU. She is currently Aggregate Professor of the Journalism Department at the UPV/EHU. She was the editor of the scientific journal “ZER. Journal of Communication Studies” (2014-2018). She was Vice-dean of Communication and External Relations at the Faculty of Social and Communication Sciences (2015-2021). Since 2021, she has been the Postgraduate Director of the UPV/EHU.
She has got recognized two six-year terms of research (CNEAI). She has participated in research projects funded continuously since December 2006. His main lines of research are Health Communication and Corporate Communication.
She is the author of the book “Formación de portavoces: Cómo conseguir una comunicación efectiva ante los medios y otros públicos”, and of publications on topics related to the specialized journalism, the treatment of health issues in the press, the educational role of the media and communication offices in local administration, among others.
