Full professor of Audiovisual Information Technology at the University of the Basque Country (EHU), an institution he entered in 1987. Prof. Palazio has a degree in Information Sciences from the EHU, a doctorate course in English Language from the UNED and a master's degree in Basque translation and Spanish from the University of Deusto. He was the director for three years of the master "Developers of multimedia communication companies" at the University of the Basque Country, held at the Zamudio Technology Center. Professor Gorka J. Palazio teaches two subjects: "Participatory and Social Journalism on the Internet" and "Informative TV". In addition to these undergraduate subjects, he also teaches two master's degrees at the University of the Basque Country, one official on Social Communication and Research and another one on TV with the participation of the Basque public TV EITB. He is also a professor of several master's degree courses in Latin America on EdTech (Peru, Dominican Republic and Chile)
Member of the Bizkaia Linux Users Association (GLUB) since 2000 and author of books on radio, television and network technologies applied to Education. He worked in the Basque public radio-television EITB. He has also contributed to scientific journals such as Uztaro and Zer, and other Linux commercials. Author of websites with dynamic server-side and local technology: ZOPE-DTML, PHP-MySQL (LAMP). Expert in Blockchain. He received the Internet Euskadi award.
