Degree in Biology and PhD in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. I have been a doctoral student at INIMEC, Córdoba, Argentina (1988-1992), and a postdoctoral researcher at Binghamton University, NY, USA (1993-1995). Since 1996 I am a researcher and professor of the area of Psychobiology, at the Faculty of Psychology, UPV / EHU.
Director of the Master and Doctorate School (2013-2017), as well as coordinator of the Doctoral program in Psychology (2010-2019), coordinator of the research Master program “Psicología: Individuo, Grupo, Organización y Cultura” (2010-2013), Vice-Dean of Quality and Communication of the Faculty of Psychology (2018-2019) and Dean of the Faculty of Psychology (2019-2023).
Member of the research group Learning, Perception, Attention and Development (type A group of the Basque research system), directing the research lines on "Pre-and postnatal learning with orosensory stimuli" and "effects of perinatal alcohol exposure on the acceptance of alcohol". Researcher in 26 funded research projects, and P.I. in 7 of them. I have mentored 4 doctoral theses, 2 of them with international label and with extraordinary award. (Orcid: 0000-0001-9042-1578)
