Leire San-Jose is Full Professor at University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao (Spain), and she is also Visiting Research Fellow at Huddersfield Business School (United Kingdom) (2009-2022). She is leader of ECRI Ethics in Finance & Social Value Research group. She was previously a Visiting Scholar at Loyola University Chicago under the supervision of Professor John Boatright and at Darden Business School under the supervision of Professor Edward Freeman. Her most important publications are about cash management, social value and stakeholder theory.

She has published her results at: Journal of Business Ethics, Review of Business Management, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Small Business Journal, Journal of International Development, or European Management Journal, among others. Her books in Springer or Emerald. Nowadays, she is the leader of the research group Ethics in Finance and Social Value (ECRI) (www.ehu.eus/ecri) and she organize Seventh World Congress of The International Society of Business Economics and Ethics (ISBEE) held in Bilbao July 2022 (www.isbee.org)

She teaches: Finance (2º ADE), and aspects of Monetizing Social Value, Cash Management and Responsible finance and Ethics in Finance at Master Degrees in basque and English languages.
