Bachelor with a degree in Clinical Psychology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (1979), PhD in Psychology from the University of the Basque Country (1986), Professor of Family Psychology (UPV / EHU) (2004), Visiting Professor at the Center for Family Research of the University of Cambridge (UK) (1999 and 2016) and in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention of the University of Oxford (2011). The preferred research lines are Family Context and Psychological Development Positive Parenting and Public policies of parental promotion. He has developed an intense activity of knowledge transfer through agreements with various local, national and international institutions. His research activity has been endorsed by the positive evaluation of 5 years of CNEAI until 2018. His university activity has been endorsed by A2 recognition (Excellence) by the agency Unibasq (2017). He is an accredited bilingual professor in Spanish and English since 2011.
