Bachelor and doctor in Physics from the UPV/EHU. After a short time (3 years) at private sector, working on the design and development of numerical controls for machine tools, he joined the UPV/EHU as a lecturer in the area of Computer Languages and Systems at the Faculty of Science and Technology. Since then, he teaches in different degrees and master's degrees related to Physics, Electronics Engineering and Mathematics ... http://gtts.ehu.es/German>(teaching history) )</a>.<br /><br />Founder and first head of the <a href=http://gtts.ehu.es/gtts>Working Group on Software Technologies</a>, dedicated to Automatic Speech Processing in topics such as Identification/Verification of Languages/Speakers, Automatic Subtitling, Information Retrieval, etc. He was invited to the workshop organized at Jonhs Hopkins Univesity by Frederick Jelinek in 1995, as well as to a research stay at the AT&T Shannon Laboratories (New Jersey) in 2000/1.
