Professor, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Arts, Coordinator of French Undergraduate Degree and Coordinator of Master's degree in Comparative Literature and Literary Studies.

His research interests focus on (networks between) small/minor literatures, comparative literature, translation studies, multilingualism, ecocriticism and on new methods and modes of learning and teaching in Higher Education.

He obtained his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of the Basque Country in 2014 with a study on the intercultural relationships between the Basque Country and Belgium. After a postdoctoral stay at IKER, a Bayonne-based joint research unit (UPPA, Bordeaux Montaigne and CNRS), he started teaching at UPV/EHU.

Born in Ghent (Flanders), where he graduated from the University of Ghent, he has been working in Bilbao for several years as a journalist and editor of the French news website of EITB.
