Degree in Veterinary Medicine and PhD from the University of Zaragoza. Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Reading (UK) and the Zaidín Experimental Station (CSIC). “Ramón y Cajal" researcher at the Research Center CIC bioGUNE. She is currently a Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
Her research activity is carried out in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology. Her line of research focuses on the study of the role of the microbiota in the development of the immune system at early age and its consequences on the health of individuals later in life.
She has supervised several doctoral theses, master's theses and bachelor's theses.
She is a member of the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee of the UPV/EHU.
