BA and PhD in Philosophy from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts (subjects: Pensamiento Greco-Latino and Europar Pentsamendua/Pensamiento Europeo) and the Faculty of Labour Relations and Social Work (subject: Philosophy and Social Work), Campus of Alava. He teaches as well in the Philosophy, Science and Values University Master's Degree (Campus of Gipuzkoa). Member of the Miguel Sanchez-Mazas Chair and the PRAXIS research group (UPV/EHU), and an affiliate of the Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes (CSPO) at Arizona State University. He has published in international journals (e.g., Research Policy, Journal of Risk Research, NanoEthics) and books (e.g., International Handbook on Responsible Innovation: A Global Resource, 2019, R. von Schomberg and J. Hankins, eds., Cheltenham & Northampton: Edward Elgar Pub.). Main research interests: risk governance of emerging technologies, responsible innovation, socio-technical integration, and philosophical and social dimensions of science and technology.
