Doctoral Programme in Science Education

The challenge of improving Science Education is the indispensable reference framework in formal and informal education. This challenge must be based on people’s training, training to understand the natural world, making informed decisions and participating.

This program collects specific research areas related to the Science Education (STEM, Health Education, Environmental Education, Sustainability Education, Science and Technology, Society, Scientific Literacy, School Science, etc.). But, as has already been mentioned, in addition to formal education, educational and training spaces are increasingly widespread: museums, static classrooms, hospitals, programs of penitentiary institutions, communication campaigns and scientific dissemination, etc. Therefore, it occupies a large area, resulting in countless research questions. This requires the participation of specialists from different backgrounds and the establishment of active research lines.
