Graduated with a degree in Biology (1999) and got her PhD in 2008 (European mention) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU). Currently she is a lecturer on Science Education at the University (UPV/EHU). She has 3 six-year periods of research recognized.
She has participated in more than 20 research projects, being part of 4 research groups and of a Training and Research Unit (UFI). She has been visitor researcher in foreign research centres (Rothamsted Research, UK), as well as in prestigious national centres (Higher Council for Scientific Research, CSIC, Madrid).
She has published more than 20 scientific papers in relation to Environmental Sciences, Plant Physiology and Soil Sciences, most of them collected in Web of Science. The majority (18) are JCR international articles and 9 of them belong to the first quartile of their area. Likewise, she has published several book chapters (with ISBN) and has participated in more than 40 national and international conferences.
Nowadays, she investigates in relation to Science Education (especially focused on Education for Sustainability), identifying the obstacles of Science Teaching/Learning processes and looking for solutions and improvements to ameliorate them.
