Ph.D. in Economics, University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, University of Cantabria and University of Oviedo. Extraordinary doctoral award.

He is an associate professor of the Department of Quantitative Methods, teaching subjects on econometrics and statistics in both undergraduate and master.

He has supervised several final degree projects and master theses, and a doctoral thesis, and he has participated in 4 Teaching Innovation Projects.

His main areas of interest are: applied econometrics, time series and microeconomics.

He has participated or participates in different competitive research projects: European (1), national (4) and regional (3).

His papers have been presented in national and international conferences, and published in international scientific journals such as: Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, Bulletin of Economic Research, Journal of Cultural Economics, Empirical Economics, Econometrics and Statistics ...

Reviewer for different international scientific journals: Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Cultural Economics, Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research, Fisheries Research, PLOS ONE, Revista de Economía Aplicada, ICES Journal of Marine Sciences...

He has a six-year research period and two five-year teaching period.

Since May 2021 he has been Vice-Dean of Academic Planning at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Sarriko).
