He is aggregate proffesor in the Material Science and Metallurgic Engineering field and a member of the Polymer Science and Technology Department of UPV/EHU. He also is vice dean of academic organization of the Faculty of Chemistry. With respect to his teaching activity, he teaches in the Degree of Chemical Science and at master level, mainly subject related to material science and processing and characterization of polymeric materials. He has directed one international PhD thesis and many Degree and Master Thesis. His investigation activity is mainly focused to processing-structure-properties relationship of thermoplastic polymeric materials, specifically in polymeric blends and including reactive processing and reinforced and filled polymers. He is a member of the high yield and consolidated “NUEVOS MATERIALES POLIMERICOS MULTICOMPONENTE Y PARA APLICACIONES EN MEDICINA” (IT611-13) group of the Gobierno Vasco. He has published 25 international papers in indexed journals, many communications to national and international meetings and participated in 22 investigation projects (2 of them active). He has been recognized two six-year investigation periods, his h-index is 10 and the overall citation amount of his papers is 354. He has a long experience in collaborating with industrial companies.
