Graduate (1982) and graduate degree in pharmacy (1982) by the University of Navarra. In 1983 she received a predoctoral scholarship from the Basque Government. She obtains the title of doctor in pharmacy (1986) by the same university, Department of Organic Chemistry. In 1987 she joined, as associate professor at the UPV / EHU, Faculty of Chemistry of San Sebastian, and in 1988 she joined the Faculty of Pharmacy of Vitoria. Since 1995, she has been university titular professor at UPV / EHU. She is pharmaceutical specialist in Drug and Medicins Analysis and Control (2002). Her researchs are focused on new synthetic methodologies, heterocyclic chemistry and the synthesis of new enzymatic inhibitors with application in cancer.
She is the Academic Secretary of the Department of Organic Chemistry I (2008-2012) (2016-). Coordinator of the Departmental Section of Vitoria (2012-). She is coordinator of 3rd of the Degree in Pharmacy (2010-). He has participated in 29 Research Projects and in two Teaching Innovation Projects (2016-2017) (2019-). Part of the research work has been published in impact international scientific journals (57), as well as in scientific congresses (60). He has co-direct 5 Doctoral Theses (one of the, with international mention) and another one is in progress. Furthermore, she has directed final degrees, masters and doctorate projects.
