Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

This subject has no prerequisites.

It's aim is to give the student a general view of the bussiness world and its relationship with computer engineering.

At the end of the semester the student will get the following study results:



1. Analyze the meaning of a company explaining its objectives, importance, characteristics, types and evolution with respect to time.

2.Explain the business functions and their application within the company.

3.Use the bases of the general accounting for the good control and management of a business organization.

4.Use correctly the terminology and the way of speaking about the company.

5.Work as a member of a team to carry out cooperative tasks within a business organization: launching proposals, analyzing contributions, debating ideas and carrying out actions.

6.Know and understand the basics of human resources management

During classes we will propose group work and exercises results' discussion and oral presentations. The aim is to encourage direct participation in the subject and motivate students’ attention.

  • Continuous Assessment System
  • Final Assessment System
  • Tools and qualification percentages:
    • Written test to be taken (%): 30
    • Multiple-Choice Test (%): 30
    • Team projects (problem solving, project design)) (%): 40

Ordinary Call: Orientations and DisclaimerToggle Navigation

Continuos assessment:

The students will have to do a test exam of the first three lessons that has a has a weight of 30% of the total mark. In addition, there will be another exam on topic 4, this one with short questions, which will have a weight of 30%.



Results of oral exposition, exercises and cross evaluation with other groups have the rest 40% of the total mark.



Final assessment:

The students will have to do a written exam that has a weight of the 100% of the total mark.





By default, the assessment will be continuous and will become definitive, after verification of partial performance by the teacher, on the dates established (between 60% and 80% of the course).

If the student does not request a change to global assessment by the aforementioned dates, his/her enrolment in continuous assessment will be considered definitive.
