Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

This subject belongs to the Module titled Practical Work and End-of-Degree Project. This module represents the highest number of credits in the degree course and includes practical work in the classroom (24 ECTS), practical training at public insistitutios or social organizations (32 ECTS) and an End-of-Degree Project.



The module is closely related to the development of professional skills, ensuring that students acquire basic knowledge and competences to exercise their profession. It includes intervention techniques and research in the field of Social Work.



In this subject, the aim is to make an initial approach to knowledge of existing social resources in order to provide a response to the needs, problems and shortcomings arising from the reality of a social situation, through the study of the main systems of social protection. The study of social resources involves a theoretical-practical approach.

(SC1) Learning about and understanding the general structure of social systems for protection, social resources and the way they are delivered

(SC2) Learning to write reports on social resources, using a range of information sources

(SC3) Carrying out good practices to improve social protection systems

The subject is divided into three main sections:



1. Main systems of social protection and social resources (within the Basque Autonomous Region).



2. Territorial delimitation and analysis of social resources according to protection systems.



3. Needs analysis of social resources at territorial level, and the design of good practices

The practical nature of the subject means that participative and active methodologies are given priority.

CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT



The subject has continuous assessment as the priority mode of evaluation.



Test and assessment percentages are as follows:



- Territorial map of protection systems and their corresponding written report (group work): 25% of the final mark.

- Design of a good practice, contextualised in a territory and protection system: 45% of the final mark.

- Report related to the 'Good Practice Fair' (individual work): 15% of the final mark.

- Theoretical-practical exercise-test to be complete in the classroom (individual work): 15% of the final mark





FINAL EVALUATION



The work/tests to be done for the final evaluation will be performed individually.



- Territorial map of protection systems and their corresponding written report (group work): 25% of the final mark.

- Design of a good practice, contextualised in a territory and protection system: 40% of the final mark



- Final exam based on compulsory material (the content and materials are published in eGela):35% of the final mark.





ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT EVALUATION

- In both evaluation systems, all the tasks/tests must be passed to pass the subject as a whole.

- Poor grammar or spelling may lead to the student failing the subject.

- If there is clear evidence of copying/plagiarism in an evaluation test, the student involved will fail the subject.



ATTENDANCE AT CLASSES



Continuous evaluation means that the student must attend classes (75% of sessions) and participate in them throughout the term. Attendance at the key sessions, marked in the timetable for the subject, is compulsory.



PROCEDURE FOR OPTING OUT OF CONTINUOUS EVALUATION



The student must present the professor heading the subject with a written document stating that he/she wishes to opt out of continuous evaluation within 10 weeks of the start of the term.



PROCEDURE FOR OPTING OUT OF THE EXAM CALL



In the case of a student following CONTINUOUS EVALUATION, he/she may resign to the exam call, although always before the end of the teaching period for the subject. His/her waiver will be presented in writing to the professor heading the subject.



In the case of FINAL EVALUATION students, the unattendance to the official final exam, will automatically imply a resignation to the call



Extraordinary Call: Orientations and DisclaimerToggle Navigation

Assessment in the EXTRAORDINARY EXAM CALL maintains the same conditions and systems envisaged for the ORDINARY EVALUATION.



The mark obtained in the tests passed in the ordinary evaluation will be maintained. Under no circumstances will marks be carried over to the next academic year.
