We are very happy to congratulate Isabel Poves-Ruiz and the entire Microfluidics Cluster team on the publication of their new article in Talanta:

“A microfluidic paper-based device for on-site colorimetric detection of scopolamine in beverages, pharmaceuticals, and plant extracts.”

The work presents an autonomous and portable paper-based microfluidic device for the rapid colorimetric detection of scopolamine, validated in different beverages as well as pharmaceutical and plant samples. The platform enables visual detection with the naked eye and also opens the possibility of smartphone-assisted quantification.

A special congratulations to Isabel, whose PhD research is at the core of this work, and to Enrique Azuaje-Hualde, Laura Lartitegui Elorza, Oihana Diaz-Cantos, Lourdes Basabe-Desmonts and Fernando Benito-Lopez for this excellent team effort.
