BORJA HERRERO DE LA PARTE

Dr. Herrero de la Parte holds a PhD in Medicine and Surgery (2018), accredited as Associate Professor (ANECA and UNIBASQ; Field: Surgery). He joined the Department of Surgery and Radiology and Physical Medicine (UPV/EHU) in 2012 and since 2015 began to collaborate in both theoretical and practical teaching of "Fundamentals of Surgery" and "Surgical Physiopathology", combining this activity with teaching in the University Master's Degree in Biomedical Research and in Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

He is currently coordinating the course "Surgical Physiopathology" and is also Academic Secretary of the Department of Surgery and Radiology and Physical Medicine.

He has authored more than 60 communications to national and international congresses, 18 scientific articles in high impact journals and 21 book chapters, 2 articles and editor of 1 book on teaching in Medicine. In addition, he has supervised 2 doctoral theses and is currently cosupervisor of 6 more.

Member of several research projects/groups: COST RADIOMAG action, Research Network "Nanotechnology in Translational Hyperthermia" (MICIN), research group "Experimental and Clinical Oncological Interventional Radiology" (Biobizkaia) and Research Group in Ischemia and Tissue Repair/Regeneration (GIRRT) (UPV/EHU).
