He is Degree (1994, Extraordinary Award) and PhD (2000) in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. He has 20 years of teaching experience in Bachelor (Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineer, Industrial Technical Engineer in Chemistry and in Mechanics) and 13 years in Master (M. in Chemical Processes and Sustainable Development and M. in Chemical Engineering). He has supervised 24 Bachelor Final Projects and 7 Master Final Projects. He is received excellent qualification in Docentiaz assessment. He has been Principal Investigator in 2 Teaching Innovation Projects; 2 articles in Chemical Engineering Education, and 14 communications in national and international congresses of education. He is specialized in Project Based Learning and Cooperative Learning (Belbin roles).
He collaborates with the Educational Advisory Service (SAE-HELAZ) since 2008, in training faculty member in active methodologies.
He is co-author of 34 articles in ISI WOK journals (Q1 and Q2), 3 patents, 81 communications in national and international congresses and supervisor of 2 PhD in the field of catalysis applied to the purification of industrial off gases. He was Principal Investigator in 3 Research Projects (2 of the Spanish R+D+I National Programme and 1 of the Basque Government) and participated in another 30 (European, Spanish, Basque and University level), and various contracts with national companies. He has been positive assessment of 4 six-year periods of research.
