I analyze the processing-microstructure-properties relationship of polymers and polymer based composites and nanocomposites. Especially I focus my research in bio-based materials. I perform a characterization of the microstructure in 2D and 3D, using microscopy image, processing them and analyzing. I create geometric and analytical models of the microstructures that describe the reality and help on the prediction of the behavior of new materials.
