Description:

This thesis has contributed to the field of embedded systems, proposing a common node architecture that serves as a CPS architecture reference for the Smart Grid. This architecture should provide a solution to the direct integration of the nodes in the network, allowing for real-time processing, which is necessary in certain sections and operations of the Smart Grid. In this sense, three architectures have been implemented to verify the operation of the CPS Gateway. The first architecture will be used to validate the requirements of synchronization, interoperability and high availability. The second architecture will implement a protocol and a communications module that will allow the remote configuration of the CPS Gateway. Finally, the third architecture will propose the use of symmetric encryption as a cybersecurity mechanism for SV and GOOSE frames.
