This year marks the tenth anniversary of Emakumeak Zientzian (Females in science), an initiative that brings together more than 30 Basque organisations dedicated to scientific dissemination during Women and Girls in Science Week. The BIOMAT group is joining in this commemoration by actively participating in the Back to School programme.

In this programme, researchers Maialen Uribarrena, Iraia Osquila and Mireia Andonegi will share their experience in the classrooms of Zurriola Ikastola (Donostia), Txingudi Ikastola (Irun), Goizeko Izarra ikastola (Mutriku) and Luzaro ikastetxea (Itziar) with the aim of inspiring scientific vocations, especially among female students. The visits will take place between February and March 2026.
