PARTICIPATING PARTNER ORGANISATIONS FOR SECONDMENTS AND SHORT STAYS

The following list shows the Partner Organisations (PO) that have agreed to form part of the ADAGIO project. Each PO offers specific training opportunities in their field of expertise to the ADAGIO fellows. Specific information can be found within each of the partner descriptions. More information is also available on the POs' websites.

ADAGIO fellows will be strongly encouraged to carry out secondments for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum period of 12 months in one of the partner organisations listed below, or in another partner organisation suggested by the fellow (and approved by the ADAGIO programme) that can be included at any time during the implementation of their project.

The secondment period can be extended if considered beneficial to the fellow’s research.

ES - IBARMIA INNOVATEK, S.L.U.

IBARMIA is a business group of the machine tool sector made up of four companies:

  • IBARMIA GESTINVER: offers general management, administration, finance, human resources, IT, Quality Safety and Environment services.
  • IBARMIA INNOVATEK, SLU: Dedicated to the manufacture of CNC manufacturing solutions based on machining centres.
  • IBARMIA PRECISIÓN, SLU: Dedicated to the machining of small and serial parts, for drills and machining centres.
  • IBARMIARENA, SLU: Patrimonial Society that deals with the adaptation of land and buildings.

The Technical Department of IBARMIA is currently composed of more than 20 people who are structured into three teams led by the Technical Management:

  1. Design and Production Engineering.
  2. Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  3. New Developments Engineering.

It is this last team, supported by electronic design, which leads all R&D &I activities. Among the technological competences of IBARMIA are mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and fluid mechanics. Its productive capacity includes both the assembly phase of the components, which is carried out in specifically designed facilities for this purpose, and the machining of parts that is carried out in IBARMIA PRECISION.

One of the most relevant projects of IBARMIA is the design and building of the hybrid manufacturing system ADD & PROCESS machine. This machine was originally presented at the EMO fair in Milan in 2015 and is the first hybrid machine built in Spain and one of the first in Europe. It was also the biggest in the world in 2015. Since the presentation of the ADD & PROCESS machine, IBARMIA has participated in several projects related with additive manufacturing technologies. One of the most important projects at a European level is the PARADDISE project "A Productive, Affordable and Reliable solution for large scale manufacturing of metallic components by combining laser-based ADDITIVE and Subtractive processes with high Efficiency".

Current research topics are focused on Machine-tool connectivity, 5G implementation and data-driven manufacturing processes implemented in the machines. Ibarmia is also a founder member of the AIE of the CFAA. Thus, Ibarmia develops projects in cooperation with other partners of the CFAA in key manufacturing technologies.
