Graduate in Biology (2003) and PhD Doctor (2010) of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, the latter with ““Doctor Europeus” mention. She has been a professor at the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the UPV/EHU, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, since 2010.
She is a member of the research team Molecular Epidemiology of Campylobacter and Arcobacter. He has directed or co-directed 5 Master's Thesis and 9 Degree’s Thesis. He has participated in 10 research projects, being in one of them the main researcher
She has co-authored ten scientific papers and three book chapters, as well as 26 contributions to national and international congresses. Her research lines are focused on the application of molecular biology techniques for the study of pathogenic bacteria for humans, mainly foodborne campylobacteria, but also different species of special clinical relevance.
