Bachelor in Science (Chemistry UPV/EHU 1999) and Bachelor in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU 2001). PhD in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU 2006). Awarded with the ‘SECAT prize to the best PhD thesis in 2006’ and ‘Extraordinary Doctorate Prize’ in 2008. Currently I am a Permanent Researcher Doctor in UPV/EHU since 2013.
My research activities are focused on the application of catalytic technologies for emission control of gaseous pollutants by combustion, recycling and/or valorization of plastic wastes and production of hydrogen-rich streams by reforming technologies. I have played an active role as a researcher in more than 20 projects. I am co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed papers (h=21, >1500 citations) and 8 non-indexed papers. I have co-supervised 2 international PhD theses and I am currently the supervisor of one PhD thesis. I have participated in numerous congresses related to Chemical Engineering and Applied Catalysis, with more than 120 abstracts.
My teaching activity starts in 2007. Since then, I have involved in several subjects related to the Degrees in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. These topics were mainly related to the fields of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection and Sustainability. I have been also supervised a wide number of Degree and Master Projects. I have belonged to several commissions in the Faculty of Science and Technology.
