Bachelor in Chemical Engineering at UPV/EHU (2005). Thesis in the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization group with an FPU scholarship in the valorization of plastic wastes and polyolefins to obtain monomers or gasoline (2010). Research exchange in 2008, University of Western Ontario (Canada).
Teaching career: internal teacher in the Faculty of Science and Technology (2009). Technical Engineering School of Bilbao (2010). Superior School of Engineering of Bilbao (2010-2012). Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department from the UPV/EHU (2012). Senior lecturer certification.
Current research activity: valorization of wastes (plastics, tyres, biomass…) via pyrolysis in order to obtain value added products and analysis of catalytic processes, with special attention to their deactivation. Participation in 23 Research Programs; 29 articles in JCR. More than 1200 cites; h-index: 21. More than 75 contributions to conferences, mostly international. 3 times awarded as the best contribution to the conference.
Currently, member of the research commission of the Faculty and coordinator of 3rd year of Biotechnology Degree and the subject Experimentation in Chemical Engineering II. Beforehand, coordinator of 3rd year of Chemical Engineering Degree and of Practicum for 4 years as well as member of the permanent commission of the Department. I teach in the Master´s Degree in Chemical Engineering and 3 subjects in English in the CE and BT Bachelor Degrees.
