Industrial Engineer in Electrical Engineering (1990) and PhD graduated since 1998 by the Official Doctoral Program in Information Technology, Electronics and Control from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Professor of the University of the Basque Country since 1990 and Associated Professor since 2003. He develops research tasks as member of the Group of Signal and Communications (GSC), recognised as group A by the Basque Government. The National Assessment Commission on Research Activities (CNEAI) has acknowledged his work with four six-year term research merits. I have participated in 32 public call competitive basis research projects, three of them as principal investigator, in 18 R&D research projects and two cooperation networks. I am coauthor of 56 contributions published in indexed journals, several book chapters and more than 59 contributions to international conferences. He has been co-owner of 2 patents exploited by a national company with international projection. I have developed my research career since 1990 inside the Group of Signal and Communications (GSC). I did my PhD thesis about the measurement and monitorization of low frequency perturbances in power lines, and since then my research line is focused in low frequency signal processing, in both, electric energy system signal processing and Biomedical Signal Processing.
