As part of this programme, the students are actively encouraged to spend time at research centres, technological centres and companies, both at a national and, above all, international level. These visits and stays are funded by means of public calls by the University, by the Basque Government and the Ministry, as well as other sources of funding that the research group the student joins may secure. Practically all full-time students go on at least one of these stays, the duration of which can vary according to the work to be done in each case and availability.
