Luis Javier Rodríguez Barron is Ph.D. in Chemistry and Full Professor of Food Technology. He teaches in the Degree of Food Science and Technology as well as in the Master of Food Quality and Safety. Since 2010, he is the Principal Investigator of the Lactiker Group - Quality and Safety of Foods of Animal Origin that is a Consolidated Research Group of the Basque University System. His fields of specialization focus on the science and technology of milk and cheese as well as meat and derived products. From an analytical point of view, he has extensive experience in food analysis, in particular chromatographic techniques, and also in experimental design and statistical treatment of data using multivariate techniques. He has collaborated with numerous national and international research groups and centers on multidisciplinary proposals, and has been principal investigator of more than 10 collaborative research projects, and he has also participated in over 25 research projects at local, regional, national and european levels. As result of his research activity, he has published more than 100 articles in international scientific journals, and has participated with conferences, oral communications or posters in more than a hundred national and international conferences and meetings.
