Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (1986, UPV-EHU), Doctorate in Chemical Science (speciality: Macromolecular Physical Chemistry, 1991, UPV-EHU). She has 4 six-year periods of Aneca. He has directed or co-directed 4 doctoral theses. She has participated in 19 research projects, being the main researcher in 8 of them. She is the co-author of 38 scientific articles, 2 books and 4 book chapters and of around 25 contributions to national and international conferences. Her research has been mainly focused on polymer-metal complexes, polymer blends and the fabrication of biodegradable and biocompatible devices for tissue engineering.
She is a teacher of the University of the Basque Country, Department of Mining Metallurgy Engineering & Materials Science, School of Engineering of Bilbao.
