Degree in Chemistry in 2001 (extraordinary prize) and PhD in 2005 (extraordinary prize) at the UPV / EHU. She did a postdoctoral stay in KULeuven (2006-2008) for two years. She was back at Physical Chemistry department of UPV-EHU, first with a postdoctoral contract (2008-2011), later as Ramón y Cajal fellow (2012- 2017). Currently she is a permanent researcher.
Her research lines, carry out at the molecular spectroscopy group, are focused on the design, development and characterization of photoactive hybrid materials combining zeolitic materials, MOFs and nanoparticles with new organic dyes for photonic and biomedical applications. All these lines are in collaboration with national groups of CSIC and UCM (funded by Spanish Ministry since 2000) and with other international groups (KULeuven, IPREM, iCeMS).
At this moment, she has more than 60 publications, with a number of citations> 2000 derived from international journals / books (Nature Comm, JACS, J. Photochem Photobiol C, Mater Chem, ...) as well as 1 international patent (WO 2014020225). She has attended to national and international scientific conferences (> 30, 8 as invited speaker). She has supervised 7 final master thesis and 2 doctoral theses (+ 2 in process)
Currently, she has an index h = 23 (July 2019).
