April 2025: visit of Prof. Bartłomiej Marona (Cracow University of Economics, Poland)

From March 31st to April 4th, 2024, prof. Bartłomiej Marona, Head of the Department of Real Estate and Investment Economics at Krakow University of Economics and a Member of the Board of the European Real Estate Society, visited our university as part of an agreement between the two institutions and the Erasmus program.

During his stay, he delivered two lectures for students focused on the evaluation of investment profitability in real estate. The lectures covered various key topics, including the time value of money, the challenges of property valuation using the income approach, and the analysis of real estate investments through discounted cash flow methods.

The lectures were warmly received by the students, especially since the university does not offer a separate degree program in this field. As such, the lectures served as a valuable enhancement to the university's educational offerings in finance, business, and economics.

The meeting with the students also provided an opportunity to present the academic offer of Krakow University of Economics for those interested in spending a semester abroad as part of an academic exchange
