On September 21, we had the pleasure of having the presence of Dr. Jacek Welc, distinguished professor at the SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences and co-owner of the company WNP Ekspert Group, specialized in financial consulting. In addition to his renowned academic career, Professor Welc is an active contributor to prestigious newspapers such as "The Financial Times" and "The Wall Street Journal", where he shares his valuable opinions on topics related to financial reporting.

As part of his visit, he gave a lecture to the students of the Elcano School of Economics and Business. Under the title "Corporate profits and performance: Can we believe in what companies tell us in their financial reports (or should we be rather more skeptical...)?", the lecture addressed the current challenges of financial reporting. The intervention was widely appreciated by our students, underlining the crucial importance of integrity in the financial sector.
