Visit of Jana Přílučíková
May 2025: Visiting Professor – Jana Přílučíková (Tomas Bata University in Zlín)
From May 5th to May 9th, 2025, a teaching visit was carried out by Assist. Professor Jana Přílučíková, Vice-Dean for Studies at Tomas Bata University in Zlín and analyst at the Prague Financial Institute. The visit was hosted within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Teaching programme.
During her stay, two lecture series were delivered in an interactive format. The first focused on traditional financial theory, in particular on the practical implications of time factor and risk analysis, with emphasis on the concept of the discount rate and its application in investment decision-making.
The second part of the programme introduced students to the principles of behavioural finance, covering core topics such as bounded rationality, dual process theory, heuristics and cognitive biases, framing effects, prospect theory, and regret aversion.
The sessions included real-life case studies, structured team exercises and decision-making dilemmas. For example, students were invited to reflect on their impulsivity in financial behavior, respond to choice-framing problems, and analyze scenarios illustrating regret theory and disposition effect. A special focus was placed on enhancing students’ financial self-awareness and connecting psychological insights with everyday financial decisions.
This academic exchange aimed to contribute to the promotion of innovative teaching methods and strengthened international cooperation in the field of finance and economics.
