Jaume Navarro is Ikerbasque Research Professor at the University of the Basque Country. Trained in Physics and in Philosophy his expertise is in the history of science, mainly the history of Physics in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He also works in the history of the public perceptions of science and in the historiography of the relationships between science and religion. Before joining Ikerbasque and the UPV/EHU, Jaume Navarro was a researcher at the University of Cambridge, Imperial College, London, and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. He has also lectured at the universities of Exeter and Internacional de Catalunya. He is author of A History of the Electron. J.J. and G.P. Thomson (Cambridge University Press, 2012) as well as editor of Science and Faith within Reason (Ashgate, 2011), Research and Pedagogy. A History of Quantum Physics though its Textbooks (Berlin Open Access, 2013) and Ether and Modernity. The recalcitrance of an epistemic object in the early twentieth century (Oxford University Press, 2018).
